Website Design with Beautiful, Flat Landing Pages

When promoting something using a landing page – whether it’s a product, software, or a service – there are a wide range of benefits to making sure the design is thought through properly. This is something that Apple know all too well – careful design runs through every landing page because they know that it can impact how their products are perceived to an enormous degree.

Well designed landing pages help to reinforce the idea that the product itself has also been designed with a lot of care and attention. One of my favourite landing page styles right now – as with much of web design – is to focus on a flatter, simpler aesthetic. A flat landing page is able to cut away all of the fuss and removes all the clutter. It’s minimalism helps to remove unnecessary distractions, but bright colour palettes are often used to help prevent the page from feeling “empty” – instead, it seems to be bold and dynamic.

I wanted to bring together some of my favourite examples of marketing pages that all do a great job of building awareness and hype for their products, all while adopting the flat style of design.

Conclusion

So there you have it – a collection of some of my favourite flat landing pages. I believe that these designs work beautifully as a landing page because the removal of clutter means that the next action is immediately apparent. If the next step is to watch a video, check out the demo, sign up for a free trial, etc – it’s clear and easy to see at just a glance. The information that you need is clearly visible, the product is explained well and showcased superbly and there aren’t any distractions that get in the way. It’s a great, simple and clean style that’s worth testing as an alternative to more complex landing page designs.
