Effective Use of Icons as a Crucial Part of Web Design

Icons are small elements, but they can make huge difference, if the designer uses them well in the web page’s layout. Their positions are not specific, therefore we see them in almost every website and in every area, such as navigation bars, sidebars, headers, footers, etc. Where there is a free space on the page there is an icon, which always complements and beautifies the design.

Generally, a website has at least 3 icons, whereas a full website even takes up to 20. This entails how crucial the icons are for the website’s success. The designers have to analyze both the style and size of the web design and icons; the task is not that easy.

Effective Use of Icons as a Crucial Part of Web Design

Today, we present example web designs, which contain beautiful and attractive icons, without which the design may not be as successful as it is. Let’s go through them and tell us which one fascinated you the most.

Simple, flat and 1-color icons seems to work well compared to 3d-ish heavy colored images.

Great Muddassir! Informational words from your side. Icons and web design have a deep and inverse relationship with each other as icons play a very important role in making a web design much more appealing. Icons can be made much more interesting by breaking the trends that others have set; however, consistency is what we have to maintain throughout the design patterns. Hope you agree!

In my point of view, Icons like doors help user to check out your site. Therefore, If your "door" impressive, user will tend to spend more time & check out more your site. Effective use of icon will help your site keep user stay longer.
