As a web designer it can often be the case that a client wants to have their social networks designing to encourage a brand identity throughout. Facebooks new Timeline has opened up more opportunity regarding creativity and layout, as can be seen in the collection above. I really like the designs which incorporate the profile picture into the cover photo I feel the best examples of this are the Dunder – Youtube Sensation and Fabio Maravilla designs. I must agree, some are good, others are not so good. It's sad to see the ones who failed to size the smaller picture correctly. Also, Facebook strictly forbids any timeline image that has a "call to action" (ie. like us now!) or contact information in it, like the "Jessica Barnard" one you posted (has her social network profiles listed). It seems she has since changed it, I just wanted to mention it so other knew about this rule before finding out the hard way from Facebook.
