A navigation bar (also known as a links bar) is a sub region of a web page that contains hypertext links in order to navigate between the pages of a website. Usually navigation bars on websites are one of the least interesting things someone can find on a website. Usually, it's plain text naming the categories or the pages the website has. It is not enhanced by graphics, by attractive patterns & textures, or by awesome realistic characters which would invite you to browse that page.

Unusual Navigations
By default, it's just a small underline, or a color over-laid. In the following post we have carefully gathered and handpicked a big set of websites whose navigation bars are not simple, plain, or the ones you see a lot on the internet. No, the following websites were designed with the modern design principles in mind, by making the whole website a new "browsing adventure", not just some parts of it.
Conclusion
Hopefully these appealing navigation bars will have motivated and inspired you for your own designs or client projects. Navigation is one of the most important elements of any website, so it follows that attractive, different and/or distinctive navigation can only enhance this already vital element.

Really nice collection but I like to suggest a website with a really unusual/ bizarre navigation http://wizcrew.com
I'd like to add this to the list:

The client wanted something completely different, the designer visualised it and after a couple of false starts I managed to build it.
I like to suggest another one : http://blog.izulcybercafe.com
amazing works…like them thanks for share…..
Very nice indeed - the custom work on these are great. You'd be surprised how much better custom work can be when you start the first round of design with good old fashioned hand sketching.
