This is interesting! I was working on a game and was importing files from .ai just to try it out, but it hasn't worked really well for me.

I'd tried illustrating in Flash before but it never really turned out nicely, and this article has enlightened me in more ways than one. :) Thank you!

I love the insistence on not duplicating. Its more work but a good designer shouldn't be afraid of doing more work. if your in it to find the easy way out then your in the wrong business...

I am worried most of the time, about the loading times, it seems like the more interaction and animation I add the more cpu usage the project takes, I have had such a love hate relationship with flash and the loading times is one of the biggest reasons why.

I love the tips offered here especially the zoom in portion, and I guess if I limit the amount of elements that I animate the less loading time the piece will take to load...

Thanks and Regards

Thanks :)

Recently, when developing my websites, I tend to use Flash only as the background, and place HTML content in a layer above it so it is readable by search engines and accessible for people with disabilities.

It depends on the size of the website, of course.
An average work might take about 50 hours, I usually plan the number of characters and details by the client's budget (my working time) before I start.

Miki, thanks for writing this wonderful tutorial. Though I'm not a fan of flash website, this tutorial certainly have me raising my thoughts again in seeing flash in another way. I do admit Flash make some of the prettiest websites around.

Looking forward for more of such articles.
