I think I prefer tinyMCE as a text editor for a CMS solution, it's light-weight, easy to customize, skin-able and user friendly.

The JavaScript preview pane might be useful for displaying images before or after an upload operation to a site, but nothing you cant do in good ol' PHP / HTML with a bit of CSS :-P

Remember... JavaScript is good in moderation, and must only be used for progressive enhancement!
I have found far too many sites that are purely JavaScript based - not good - especially if it means no navigation!
